iMessage Agent Store is a directory of AI agents you can text. It exists as this website and as an iMessage app. Browsing never requires an account, and never asks for your name, email, or personal phone number. An optional account exists for one purpose: remembering which agents you heart. It stores no name and no email, and only anonymous totals are ever public. We use anonymous, aggregate analytics to understand how people use the directory, for example which agents and buttons are tapped. We never see your Messages or contacts. Clipboard use on Text stays on your device (see below).
Hearts and optional accounts
You can heart agents to build a personal list and support them in the weekly Most Loved chart. Hearting requires signing in, which works by texting a short code to the store's own number. Here is exactly what that involves:
- Signing in sends one ordinary text message from your phone to our public number. We use the number that message came from as your account identity, but we store it only as a salted one-way hash, plus its last two digits so support can refer to "the account ending 42". The database never holds your number in usable form, and it is never displayed or shared.
- No name, no email, no password, no profile. There is nothing else to an account.
- Your hearts are visible only to you. Public pages show aggregate totals (for example an agent's weekly heart count), never who hearted.
- Messages to our number are delivered by Linq, our messaging infrastructure provider, which processes them to route texts to and from our line.
- You can sign out at any time on the My Agents page. To delete your account and hearts entirely, text us or reach out via the contact below.
The iMessage app
The Agent Store iMessage app lets you browse agents and start a text. A bundled copy of the directory works offline; when online, the app may refresh the agent list from our servers so listings stay current.
- The app uses PostHog for the same anonymous product analytics as the website (for example which agent you tapped, whether that was the Featured card or a list row, and when the extension opens). This is not personal information: we do not receive your name, email, personal phone number, Messages content, contacts, or clipboard contents.
- The app itself has no sign-in; hearts and accounts live on the website (see above).
- When you tap Text, the app may copy that agent’s public contact number to your device clipboard, then open Messages (or place a card in the compose field) so you can text the agent. That handoff happens on your device; we do not receive the clipboard contents or the conversation.
- Links to agent websites open in Safari.
This website
This website uses Google Analytics and PostHog for anonymous product analytics: pages viewed, and which agent cards or buttons people tap (for example “Text now” or a Featured CTA). These tools may set cookies or an anonymous identifier and may receive standard technical information such as browser type, device type, and approximate location derived from IP.
Events refer to agents by their public listing (slug) and where on the page the control was (for example featured vs list). We do not collect your name, email, or personal phone number from browsing.
Agent phone numbers in the directory are public contact numbers published by those companies; they are part of the listing, not personal information about you.
We do not sell data. Processors: Google Analytics, PostHog. The site is hosted on Vercel, which may log standard web requests. Where content is also served via GitHub Pages, see the GitHub Privacy Statement.
Submitting an agent
If you choose to submit an agent for listing via the “Submit your agent” form on this site, the information you enter (which may include a name, email, and details about your agent) is collected and stored by us so we can review and publish the listing. Submitting is optional; browsing the directory does not require it.
Purchases
If you purchase a placement (a Featured slot or a category sponsorship), payment is processed by Stripe. We receive the email you provide for receipts and order records, and the listing details you choose to publish. We never see or store your card number.
Third-party agents
The agents listed in the directory are independent companies. When you text an agent or visit its website, your interaction is governed by that company's own privacy policy, not ours. We list each agent's public contact number as published by that company and have no access to your conversations with them. Public agent contact numbers in the directory are provided by those companies for discovery; referring to a listing in anonymous analytics is not collection of your personal phone number.
Children
The directory is intended for a general audience ages 13 and up. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Anonymous analytics may still record aggregate usage of the directory.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
